After giving my room a bit of a clear out to the point of near
spacious, I've finally got round to listening to the latest Incognito
album "Transatlantic RPM" in it's entirety and once again
Bluey and the guys have done a top job.
With an array of guest performers such as Chaka Kahn, Leon Ware
and Ursula Rucker, they add something extra special to the Cog
sound with personal favourites on the album including
"Let's Fall In Love Again" with Tortured Soul's Christian Ulrich,
"Everything That We Are" featuring Luckyiam adding a bit of hip hop
to the Cog sound, the superb cover of Banda Black Rio's
"Expresso Madureira" and a superb turn by Mario Biondi
on "Can't Get Enough".
To have Mario and Bluey working together really is that special
and he also appears with Chaka on the album opener "Lowdown"
giving a pretty good take on the Boz Scaggs tune.
I guess the only bad part is the struggle of deciding what tunes
to play on the show this Sunday but I'm pretty certain
it will be prominent for the next few weeks at least.
