After watching United I can definitely say it managed to deliver, and
tell a really interesting story about an area of football history I
hadn't been aware of before.
The plot itself was set out well, accompanied by good acting from
Jack O'Connell as Bobby Charlton and David Tennant as coach
Jimmy Murphy, and told the story of how Manchester United managed
to recover from the air disaster and earn a place in the 1958 FA Cup final.
Regardless of whether or not you are a Manchester United fan or not,
or even a fan of football overall, it's definitely worth the watch.
That said, I felt a bit spiteful near the end when it mentioned
Manchester United winning the European Cup in 2008, although
that's mainly because it reminds me of a dreadful night in the
New Moon in Kenton, where Chelsea took more than just a bit
of a beating.
Overall, definitely one of the best television dramas of 2011 so far.
