The visit to the mood clinic went OK this morning.
Minor changes were made to my medication but if anything
needs sorting, it's my sleeping habits.
As soon as I got back from Laurel House I was asleep in bed
for two and a half hours which is further proof that things need changing.
In short I need to be out there doing things.
And I said "out there" not in a warehouse or shop floor
working for so little for too fucking long.
I've always been a stubborn so and so.
I had another rummage through my UKNova downloads
that have been burnt to disc since Autumn but have gone unnoticed.
One being Fearne Cotton's interview with Alesha Dixon which
has it's faux pas but nowhere near as many as Peaches Geldof.
A particular moment that raised my eyebrow was when Cotton
was stood in rehearsals for Alesha's V Festival routine
and was invited to "strut her stuff" with the boys.
In a behind the scenes shot Fearne mouthed "I think I've failed
the audition for the V Festival!"
I'd imagine many would question why she was successful from
her audition for presenting The Disney Club 12 years ago.
In spite of all the stick she gets, Fearne can still be included
in my league of children's/Saturday morning presenters
who I can look up to as those who live for live television.
As opposed to Sam & Mark who got it because they couldn't
sustain a pop career.
And before anyone mentions Ant & Dec, the Geordie Boys
had 3 successful top 20 albums and were never serious about it.
The rest of tonight will involve the usual offerings from Sarah and Stephen
on XStream East, followed by a bit of radio and TV comedy with respective offerings from Simon Mayo's "Act Your Age" on Radio 4,
and Newswipe with Charlie Brooker on BBC Four.
To paraphrase an old BBC 2 slogan from a few years ago,
Tuesdays are funny.
