The Monthly Spoon Shower

Autumn must be getting closer than I thought what with it being pretty cloudy and drizzly outside as I type.

That aside there's still a fair bit going on this Bank Holiday Weekend
which more or less started yesterday with a visit into London for
a few drinks to celebrate the 23rd birthday of fellow radio peep
Emma, who works as a tech assistant for Global Radio.

Also present were a one or two from Uni them being Steven, and

Ross Powell who's just about to start a teacher training course
back in his hometown of Frome.

I can't remember everything that was discussed, but at one point
Steven burst into hysterics over the memory of the "screw in the tuna"
gag from Kenan and Kel.

I didn't stick around for too long as I had booked to attend
another screening of "The Room" at the nearby Prince Charles Cinema
where also in attendance was Jake, the guitarist in the Half Wits
who has been meaning to attend a screening for a long time now.

This time I was sat right at the front so, I was literally pelted with
plastic spoons, and there were a fair few audience members in tuxedos
and red dresses.

As a whole however, it was good fun.

Not a great deal taking place today, though tomorrow I'm travelling
up to Romford for Sandra C's Bank Holiday Soul Session at the

Victoria pub.

Always a great atmosphere there, and a amazing array of
disc spinners so it should be enjoyable.

And what will also be a good warm up to the Soul By The Jetty
event in Canvey the following Saturday.
