Despite the first episode of Gavin and Stacey series 3 speeding by, I felt rather depressed throughout over the many awkward scenarios, from Gavin taking his new job too seriously, and from an epsiode point of view, the opportunity for Rob Brydon as Bryn to sing for the sake of it.
I could make the joke about Rob having little chart success, but he did record one of the Comic Relief singles earlier in the year.
The music used in between scenes on the other hand works really well with The Hooziers, and Jack Penate to name a few.
Whether I'll commit to the whole series I'm not so sure, as things are going down the slope and watching that show isn't exactly a form of escapism.
That's no way to say that it's overrated mind.
It has it's moments I guess.
