Rather angry with myself, for waking up later than I thought I would as
there's a lot to get done today, namely getting Dad a birthday present
as there's only two days now.
I've managed to have a listen to the new Radio 1 news themes via iPlayer
and they're not too bad actually, they've got a 4 note hook
just different to the last one.
As for Chris Moyles, as expected the audience seem to have reacted
positively to them....
They don't give a bollocks about such things in general, but when
changes take place they come out like angry dogs.
I've always wondered what it was like in January 1990 when Radio 1
finally replaced their sung news intro that had been used in many
forms for 15 years with an instrumental one.

I can imagine the reaction from the enthusiasts must have been
strong, but as the internet was barely in its infancy back then,
I doubt people would even go to great lengths to write a letter
over such issues back then.
Or maybe that was just me.
No time like the present however, and I'm hoping I find something
worthwhile to be doing after I get the job appointments and birthday
buying out of the way.
The rest of the week looks pretty bare, apart from the Oliver Postgate
related concert on Friday but hopefully up to then I will sort out
a few loose ends.
