Bliss In Brighton

Today was amazing.

I met up with Danielle at Brighton station and our first stop off
was the Mash Tun, a rather nice pub right in the centre of the main town.

We chatted about Dani's recent gig outings including an up close encounter
with Robbie Williams at a recent Take That gig, and her proudest
University moment when along with Sirin, she persuaded then
Smoke Head Of Music Chris Chilvers to put "Wearing My Rolex"
on the playlist which he was so reluctant to do before giving in.

And yet he takes the whole credit for it but it was a bit of a laugh really.

Shortly after we made our way to the pier where we gave in and
went on a waltzer style ride, of which I chose to capture on video,
the embarrassing results can be seen here.

We then headed over to the nearby pub on the pier and it's
over there where I got a couple of photos.

Dani.

Some weighty bumpkin.

Before getting the train back to Canters we went into a
junk shop or nostalgia boutique where amongst the items
on sale wher a Beano themed lampshade, a selection of Marillion LPs,
and a used copy of Fantastic Dizzy, which I've only just managed
to re-live via my DOS emulator.

Overall today was superb, and for the first time in a long while
I'm feeling a comedown as a result.

It's not too bad as I'm heading out again tomorrow for the 2011 JingleDay
back in it's rightful home of London, or to be more specific
The George on Great Portland Street.

Back on original subject, and myself and Danielle agreed just
before parting that we must have a reunion in Brighton some time
for all of us who took the radio module and graduated in '09.

If I could have as much fun as I did today it would be a fantastic
opportunity to put the shit to one side, and have an enjoyable
catch-up in gorgeous seaside surroundings.
