An episode of Noel's House Party popped up on my Youtube subscription
page last night dating back from November 1996.
This would be the series when it began showing signs
of age where the theme tune had changed into one that didn't
really suit the show at all, and features that seemed to come and go.
One being "One Minute Of Prime Time" which appeared to show
off more of the "hi-tech" O/B equipment than that of the talent
being showcased, in this case one Ross Lee from Calverley in Leeds.
Ross later went on to become a comedian in his own right
making guest appearances on Bo'Selecta and more recently
in BBC Three's Pranker.
However Ross Lee was partly responsible for helping me to recover
four years ago as the host of CBBC's comedy clipshow Chute! produced
by the same team behind Dick & Dom In Da Bungalow.
It was one of the only TV programmes I could watch, and remain
still throughout during my illness.
No time like the present though, as I'm London bound this evening
for Stewart Paske's 25th birthday.
I'm not sure who else is guaranteed to be attending, although one
fella will be one who I've not seen for ages, that being Eric who
Stewart is stopping over with tonight.
The last time I saw him was on the rotten night that was the 2009
Student Radio Awards.
Well it wasn't that rotten as Smoke won it's record number
of Gold gongs, but as a whole I was really shit and getting over
the comedown of graduation.
Not that anything's changed.
