Today got off to an awkward start that resulted in me feeling relatively
paranoid for most of today.
After waiting at an empty Staples car park, I soon found out that
it was actually tomorrow that the walk across the Stour
is taking place.
I'll still go but I'm still a bit nervous as to do more activities
organised by the Wellbeing people in Canterbury.
I'd best tell it straight that the reason I'm rather nervous and
scared is because on Monday I'm finally meeting up with Karen P
from Folded Wing for a one to one, which we've both been waiting
to get off the ground since my work placement last summer.
This really is a big deal to me and I wouldn't want to mess it
up in any way by bringing up things in conversation that I am
uncomfortable talking about.
I've managed to get out of the nerves temporarily through
various measures of escapism, one has involved catching up with
the new episodes of Blockbusters on Challenge hosted by Simon Mayo
which is becoming dangerously addictive.
I'm finding him more likeable on there, than his Radio 2 Drivetime
show to be frank.
The other way out of anxiety was attending Ted Dibiase at
the Beercart where for the first time they were the headline act
and they've got even better over the last couple of months.
But not even my compliments prevented me from getting moshed
by Lee during the middle of the plastic surgery song in the usual
tradition.
The band are taking a short tour over the country this weekend
stopping off in Ipswich and Stoke, before rounding it all off in
London on Sunday.
As for me, I'll be having a night in tomorrow, which will
be much needed after my many outings over the last few nights.
