It's not often I return to Canterbury from London in a happy mood,
but tonight was an exception, when finding a rather rowdy crowd
outside the West station singing "Blue Is The Colour".
The game itself wasn't much cop as just as I left Hampstead,
the score was still 0-0 at 72 minutes in.
Then again, it wasn't my main priority as Joey's birthday "Jolympics"
in Hampstead Heath was the main reason a large crowd were gathered
together to act like complete fools.
I managed to come first in the sack race, but success wasn't to
last as the rest of my team failed miserably at the other races
namely the wheelbarrow, and the egg and spoon race.
It was a good laugh mind.
It was good to catch up with Dan and Jacko from Joe's uni year,
who I haven't seen for almost five years.
Dan's now living in Manchester and has settled in well to
the city, whilst Mark's moving to Banbury later in the year with
his partner Nadia so they can commute to jobs in Solihull,
and Marylebone respectively.
Quite a stretch but doable.
Whilst it may not have been shining that brightly, at least
it didn't rain and it was an enjoyable day out altogether.
