From The Valley To The Heath

The walk around the Stour in Canterbury went by rather quickly and
wasn't too bad even if I was rather quiet most of the time.

It was nice to get some exercise, and a warm up of sorts for tomorrow
where I will be attending Hampstead Heath for the "Jolympics",
a special event organised by Joey for his 27th birthday this weekend.

Apparently there are going to be trophies for successful participants,
but more importantly, it's all about catching up with a fair number
of people from University who I haven't seen for almost five years.

Come to think of it, it will be exactly five years to the day as
that's when the infamous Smoke Radio Awards took place
at Browns in Covent Garden when station editors
Marshall, Goodlass and Tilley gave all the gongs to their drinking buddies.

Some university events are probably best forgotten.

On a minor downer the planned visit on Monday to Folded Wing
has been postponed as Karen isn't feeling too well.

The good news however is that I'll be heading up there on the
28th of May, which fits in nicely as later that evening is the second
Richard Herring Leicester Square Theatre Podcast I'm attending
where Charlie Brooker will be the special guest.

So there's still quite a lot going on in the next few weeks.
