"The Incognitons"

This made me laugh.

The ever irreverent but informative TV Cream website's tribute
to Sarah Kennedy done with tongues firmly in cheeks.

On the unlucky chances I've had of hearing that drunken dirge,
just about all those points have made appearances on the air
from playing ridiculous sound effects at inappropriate times,
to playing awful showtunes.

Now if they'd just get rid of Elaine Paige...

Overall thank goodness there will be no more talk of the
pretence of "Kennedy Towers" on our airwaves.

Unless of course she ends up taking over from Simon Bates
on Classic FM which many have speculated, and sort of makes
sense as her Game For A Laugh co-presenter Henry Kelly
used to present on the station.

For anyone who hasn't had the misfortune of hearing "Bunty Bagshaw"
on the airwaves, this perfectly sums up who essentially
was a drunk, self-righteous presenter who thought she could
get away with anything and think she was more important than
the records she was playing.

Especially when taking into account that this was an early show.

And she succeeded for 17 years.

Finally whilst Kennedy may have been relucatant to play
any of her own jingles from the current Radio 2 jingle package
here's her version of the presenter ID from the JAM package.

She can carrying on boozing for all it's worth as far as
I'm concerned.
