The Comedy Roadshow trundled back onto our TV screens
for a long awaited second series with fairly potent line up to commence
things.
My favourite turns this week were Milton Jones who's got
a unique stage presence, and Daniel Sloss who at 19 years old
proved that there were acts younger than Kevin Bridges who
can provide the laughs.
I wasn't too sure about Craig Campbell, who reminded me
of wrestling veteran Rowdy Roddy Piper with his rather shouty
routine, but it was good to see Kevin Bridges as the headline act
who was first brought to my attention on this very show.
One of McIntyre's own gags struck a chord with regards to trailing
his show during Casualty by being wheeled in on a hospital bed and
making a shameless plug.
Well if Graham Norton could interfere with an episode of Doctor Who,
then it shouldn't do McIntyre any harm.
I'm rather peeved about missing tomorrow night's X Factor
due to it being on at the same time as my radio show.
That's something I'm going to have to get used to over
the next few months but judging by the way things are going
at the station, it probably won't be too long before I'm back
in front of the television on Sunday nights.
We'll see who's facing the music.
