I'm in one of those moods, although I'm trying hard not to wake up the rest of the house at the same time.
I've just listened to the live version of "Everyday" from Incognito's Tokyo Live album which is special because it's played in the key of B flat and Imaani's vocals make it that extra bit emotional.
I'm now starting to realise that I sound like Imaani when singing this, but end up cracking up when I hit a bum note! There goes my X-Factor audition.
Seriously, I really think they should re-record the original and put Imaani's vocals on there.
And that's not to say that Pamela Anderson (Carleen's cousin) wasn't as good.
Pamela was more soulful, more Aretha Franklin without over-egging it, and Imaani is really jazzy in the same way as Carmen Lundy, Monday Michiru, her voice could make the tightest of bastards burst into tears.
But I'm not the only one who feels this way. Phillip Schofield used to sing along to Mysterious Cities Of Gold and "Ulysseeeeeeees!" 31 when he was in the Broom Cupboard, and Andy Crane did the same for Around The World With Willy Fogg.
Courtesy of Greg Taylor's fantastic site about the Broom Cupboard, here's the man in action and he's definitely not serious!
This leads onto the subject of my favourite college lecturer Mike Moss, who himself spent quite a lot of time in the Broom Cupboard whilst working as an engineer on Grandstand.
I'm not sure what it was, but he had something in his mouth that made him unable to pronounce "world" properly. Here's the proof.
But he was a pro, he could put up with a coachload of students singing
"Been Around The Werrald and I-Yi!" In fact I even used the theme to that animation to give the Mike Moss touch!
That and Sam Cooke's "Wonderful World", "World In Motion", and even "Galvanise" by the Chemical Brothers!
I'm prepared for the same to happen to me in the third year as I've said some really stupid things over the last two years.
