It's getting rather dark and overcast and still I feel the need to lay down on the nearest beach.
I'm heading down there and if end up getting wet then there's always the lovely mince and pasta meal I plan to make tonight to keep in mind. And if everyone else isn't feeling the same and wants to go elsewhere tonight then that will mean I'll be able to reuse it for second (well third) helpings tomorrow evening!
KCFM is still sounding good, Clare Westwood is fantastic and a really lovely presenter who is an all rounder whether it comes to interviewing which she did with local photographer Andrew Crozier who gave his expert advice on taking photos. And I can guarantee that after dropping out of the suplementary photography course at college I will never go into a foul smelling dark room again.
Digital all the way although unlike some of the callers I'm not too fussed about what model my camera is.
And real requests as well, she's such a charmer when it comes to answering the phones and speaking to listeners who are saying nice things about the new station. I may ring up tomorrow and see if I can get something short and sweet on air, maybe "Do You Know The Way To San Jose?" Dionne Warwick wouldn't go amiss.
The lunchtime news roundup "Newswire" could be improved in terms of structure but it's only the beginning and it hopefully it won't be long before it sounds just as strong as the presenters. They've got some great newsreaders on board with plenty of potential.
To be honest I don't think I've been more interested in journalism than I am now although I'll try and pace myself until after Freshers Week as I think I've got enough on my hands already and will never be as good as our Scotsman Stevie (well Steven when introducing him on air) McIntosh!
The best news voice in the UK bar none! If I do get to co-present on a daytime show I will definitely be getting him involved with the show in some form or other.
