The Cube Of Courage

Another usual Saturday night, with The X Factor and The Cube providing the entertainment as always.

There weren't really any acts this week auditioning that I thought were amazing, although on the ugly side of things were "Combined Effort" a duo who had apparently broken up days before their audition and on my Twitter status labeled as "Contrived Embarrassment", which possibly sums up the whole show.

Not to mention this fella who had moved from France to the UK and achieved the impossible task of ruining a Mariah Carey song that was already bad when she performed it herself.

The Cube was enjoyable however with one of the contestants being Norman, a 65 year old bus driver who was quite a character.
It's possibly the first gameshow in a long while that actually has me cheering in the same way as when England would score a winning penalty when a task is completed.

Tomorrow will probably be an early start sorting the spuds out, which I haven't done for a while considering that the warm weather has discouraged Dad from making the really good roast meals on a Sunday.

With the nights getting darker and the weather not being warm enough to make a shambles of an outdoor meal, we should see more of the same.

I really need to actually observe Dad preparing the meal itself, the only distraction being Robbie Vincent on Jazz FM where if it wasn't for the music played, I'm not sure if it would be a regular date.

Here's hoping Jazz FM continues to survive in these tough times for radio and with successful RAJARs it will be around for quite a while yet.
