A Gutting Absence

Not a good start to today on finding out that Frankie Boyle for the first time will be absent from Mock The Week as he had been taken to hospital just hours before they were due to start recording the episode on Tuesday.

According to this article from The Sun, warm up man Ben Norris is to step in his place, although those in the audience who have posted on Digital Spy have said that it was still an enjoyable show.

We'll just have to see how much actually gets in to the final show of the series which has been a long one but more consistent in terms of actually having me in stitches.

Prick Reeves and Nob Mortimer had a fucking nerve refer to the show as "stale" as opposed to their circus act.

Thankfully their series came to an end last night although it's not the worst they've done.

"Families At War" anyone?

A slightly more successful Saturday teatime pairing from the North East were on This Morning just minutes ago, them being Ant & Dec chatting about their autobiography.

It burst into mind that with Phillip and Holly interviewing them, there were four of my favourite people to have presented on Saturday mornings all in the same studio together.

I almost broke down when Ant talked about the lack of Saturday morning shows on television in the present day.
It has you thinking, who will be presenting This Morning in 20 years as I very much doubt that Sam & Mark would fit the bill.
