It was probably a bit unfair of me on an earlier post to give BBC 1's "National Lottery Big 7" such a slating having only seen bits of it during the X Factor ad breaks.
Having watched it back on iPlayer, I've now got more than a right to do so, as it represented everything I dislike about those sort of shows;
1: Dreadfully strung out over 90 minutes
2: Contestants consisting of D-list celebs/talent show judges.
Surely David Gest would give even the thickest skinned of people nightmares.
3: Nick Knowles continuing to prove that he's a jack of all trades...
and you know the rest.
It's probably unfair to criticise it as a one off but it ended up falling into the same trap as Barrowman and Norton's outings as I gave it at least 20 minutes and ended up clicking the back button on my browser.
I now understand why the X Factor increased its viewers on the same night although I thought this week's show was the weakest so far this series to the point that it wasn't really worth preserving from UKNova.
This sounds like a rather sick experiment, but the ideal thing would be to put a lot of people with hypomania together in an office, and they would be on fire with ideas for winning television formats.
That's how I felt in terms of what I wanted to do within radio two years ago before I went too far and lost it all as a result of the medication.
Because believe me, I was never tounge tied during that time and could always pick up and agree or disagree on any book or newspaper article I read.
Why did it all have to end?...
