I've owned this on VHS for years but I'm pleased that this has finally been posted on Youtube, Pete Burns appearing on Never Mind The Buzzcocks
in February 2002 four years before achieving further notoriety alongside
George Galloway in the Big Brother house.
This quite possibly has to be my favourite episode of the show from when Mark Lamarr hosted and until Donny Tourette's appearance 5 years later, it was one of the rare episodes to have me laughing right the way through mainly because of Pete's (if you'll excuse the pun) lippy persona.
Many people were more shocked by Pete's facial appearance when they saw the show and whilst it's not the most pleasant sight, his overall stubborness, starting from a question about an ice rink is pure comedy gold.
Sean Hughes in his final series as team captain is fantastic at dealing with him, especially in the intros round where I've never been able to listen to fellow Scouse band The Farm's "Groovy Train" in the same way again.
It's also worth watching to see Kerry Katona nee McFadden when she was in a lot better shape, and we all knew her marriage to Bryan wouldn't last.
With the new series minus Amstell approaching, it's going to be difficult to expect an episode of this sort of hilarity.
