Fewer Long Journeys

Once again a pretty uneventful day although it was less dreary outside than yesterday.
It's not exactly boiling however which is rather disapointing for August.

Mum and Dad have got back from Yorkshire where I've heard that Grandma is moving out of her house in Haworth and into an old peoples home. It may mean that my visits to Yorkshire will become lesser and lesser, although the last time I went up there was in early October 2006 and I can remember only just making it into a lecture at Uni just hours after leaving on a train to London.

I didn't realise that my visit to Grandma's house then would be the last but at least it means I won't have to sleep on the floor of a rather uncomfortable toolroom.

As for me, I've been watching a few vintage episodes of Buzzcocks on Youtube including one from April 2001 featuring Dani Filth from goth band "Cradle Of Filth".
Highlights include Jimmy Savile on Top Of The Pops after a video with Sid Vicious on a motorbike without a crash helmet, and a rather amusing moment in Part 2 at 0:55
where Mark Lamarr suggests how Cradle Of Filth should change their live performances.

I'd imagine Windsor Davies would probably respond to that in his usual loud manner.
