I've recieved my forms via e-mail for applying to get in room in halls this year and it appears that they open on the 27th of September which means that those studying media will barely get a Freshers Week at all this year as lectures begin immediately on the Monday.
It could also mean that Smoke Radio will barely be able to do a whole week of shows for Freshers Week to the scale that they have in the past due to the radio rooms being in use, although even if that does turn out to be the case I won't be too disapointed as ideas seem to be rather thin on the ground.
One of them I've heard is to broadcast an hour of specialist during the daytime schedule which is a crazy decision and bound to break the flow of how everything runs.
It's like taking a frog out of a pond and dropping it inside a goldfish bowl and I really don't think that the idea is going to run smoothly.
Whoever's idea it was overall to shorten the length of semesters at Westminster University has obviously never heard of the idea of changes for changes sake.
