There was an interesting feature in The Guide supplement of today's Guardian which was about the Now That's What I Call Music compilation albums which have been bestsellers for 25 years.
It revealed that Madonna is the only artist who refuses to allow her songs to be featured on the albums, and before Mark Goodier, the late Brian Glover used to provide the voiceover in the television adverts as an animated pig.
The same actor also happened to be the voice of Gaffer from the Tetley Teafolk which lasted throughout the 80s and 90s.
I also found a rather interesting discussion topic on Digital Spy asking which Doctor Who sign you were "born under". Translated it's asking which Doctor Who episode was transmitted nearer to your date of birth. Mine was "Revelation Of The Daleks"
with Colin Baker in the lead role and the final episode broadcast before the series went on hiatus for 18 months in March 1985.
I'd imagine that that a lot of those arriving at Westminster this year will have "Survival" as their sign which was the final episode of the original series shown in December 1989.
