Aural Creativity

I've spent the morning listening to a selection of radio features from others on the radio course although they're not the ones from last semester but the ones done during the semester I was absent in late 2007.

One of them was about feet which included an interview with a man who did just about everything with his feet including drawing, driving and eating.
I don't know who produced it but I liked how they synchronised the sound of someone walking to the tune of "Love Cats" by the Cure.

Another was by Austrian student Nina which was about graveyards where she managed to get access into an area of one not normally seen by the public.
She ended up doing really well and getting a first for her overall degree. I'd love to find out how she's doing now and she really let herself go at the anuual Smoke awards, when it came to drink.

From the year below included Denis's feature on student finance which featured interviews with alumni Eleri and Penny who were definitely two of the nicer girls in my year during my first two years at Uni. I didn't really see Ler that much in my third year although Penny did help out with the film students when the BBC came to record "Fresh" for BBC Switch.

The best one was Phil Harris's feature on why his hometown Bristol was the happiest place, with my favourite part being when he called up Bristol council to ask if the water was responsible for everyone being like that.
It was more or less in the same vein as his prank phone calls when him and Chris did the Wake Up Call during SO4S 1 in May 2007 where they rang up DIY stores asking if they had sheds to put people in and so on.

Quite a few of the features had the issue of the music being louder than the interviews but asides that they were pretty good to listen to.
I don't actually have the one that recieved the Graham S Brand award that year which was Sirin's feature on butchers and one in her hometown that was closing down.

I shall look forward to hearing the ones done this year later on.
