I've finally managed to do it. After what seems like a lifetime I've managed to sit through the film that I'm giving Kate for her birthday without falling asleep and I can honestly say that in these rather stressfull times with deadlines and what have you, watching this film is ideal escapism and it just removes all grudges and negativity away instantly.
And no, it's not any of the High School Musical movies.
A few more clues though, as 90% of the songs in this popular picture are sung at least twice, I actually did go and get a drink when the intermission caption came up and I did get a bit teary when the main character returned in the second half.
The DVD itself contained a special introduction from the person who played the lead role in the film who amongst other credits performed the voice of Polynesia the parrot alongside Phillip Schofield in the West End production of Doctor Doolittle in the late 90s and has only recently regained the ability to sing after vocal chord surgery.
And this one should give it away as I was watching the film in sing along mode despite not actually doing so myself as I've still got a sore throat.
As for tonight I plan to devour in a rather simple meal of chicken with rice, then watching the film "Elf" on Channel 4, immediately followed by the second showing of BGTPFAPANCJCSSSOI to give it it's acronym with Peter Kay, sorry, PKBGTPFAPANCJCSSSOI, followed by the new series of the Sunday Night Project with Tom Jones hosting.
One of our radio lot went down there on Thursday to see the recording,
that being Joe Lester from Leicester, along with his housemate Keiron who does TV in the second year. According to Joe they had to record three versions of a joke about the X Factor last night to correspond with the possiblity of any of the three contestants winning from last night.
Whilst that's good planning it's nowhere near as fast as the team from Bo Selecta had to work at as during series 4 of Big Brother in 2003 they would have a sketch with a rubber masked Davina joking about the person that had been evicted earlier that night.
Those would normally be recorded the night before but unfortunatley there was a bomb scare one week postponing that night's evictions, and they had to record a sketch just about an hour before the show went out which was very impressive.
It should be a Sunday well spent.
