"We're Heading For Venus"

As soon as I was about to head into town leaving the SADiE room
after four hours I was thinking "where's the weather gone?" as there was no sign of the lovely skies that were evident this morning on waking up.

Regardless of that I went into Harrow town centre which is completely decorated
and keeping me in a not too overly festive but postive mood for the first time in a few years.
I managed to buy Kate's birthday present which is a DVD, and I won't say which film it's of but the case wasn't sealed so I may have a gander at it this weekend and see if I can watch the said film for the first time without falling asleep halfway through.

Before I left I was having a listen to Matt and Rob's final show before Christmas on Smoke where they weren't happy about their photos from a few weeks ago not being added to the website so they rang up Manish who's helping to look after the site and ended up going to his voicemail.
Sound familiar?

What made it funnier was that after they finished the message one of them asked
"if Manish has a granddaughter" which resulted in everyone in the studio in stitches and resulted in me coming in when the mics went down and saying to them in a jokey manner "you can't do that!".

Something I normally do during Chas and Dave's show although it's all a bit of fun really.

In a few minutes I'll be heading back over to the flat to watch Carol Vorderman's special interview with Giles Brandreth prior to her last edition of Countdown which will be quite an interesting watch I'm sure. Hopefully her departure won't overshadow the winner of the final of the 59th series too much but I'm sure it will be a very significant moment in television to happen this year.

Afterwards I plan to head to Sainsbury's to buy a few wares and try my best to get hold of the oven as early as possible as I understand Suze is planning a rather big meal for the rest of the flat tonight.
As the saying goes "you snooze, you lose" a phrase often used by Iain Lee at LBC which I used to listen to a lot during my first year and even did a seminar on his show in one of the theory modules that went down well.

I've still got to get round to listening to the rather lengthy podcasts I have of his shows from Absolute Radio which are more or less in the same vein.
