Once again it's been a very busy day sorting things for tomorrow's programme where I've ended up being slightly more occupied than I had planned to be. As well as putting together the packages with listeners requests, I've managed to rope myself into editing a feature based around an interview with Justin Bond who is currently starring at the Soho Theatre and was interviewed on our pilot show.
Eric was smart enough to bring a Marantz recorder to where the O/B took place and managed to record the answers that Justin gave to Sam and Phil back in the studio and I've repackaged them into a re-edited interview minus the ums and ers and Eric asking the questions.
With the amount of time I had to complete the package I found it quite a task but
Dave Sharp mentioned that I could offer to help out other people with their features by looking after the music they use whilst they concentrate on editing the actual speech.
I doubt the feature on Justin Bond would be a good example though as I rather hastily inserted Kate Bush's "King Of The Mountain" over the interview itself which Justin has performed in one of his shows, and in the finished package itself it sounds rather rushed.
I may have time to change that if I can think of a similar, preferably instrumental track to use.
We're more or less sorted to make our way to the Ku Bar although everyone seems to be going at different times and Sam really wants help in carrying two helium tanks for the G Radio balloons.
We've covered them in plastic bags so they don't look too suspicious although people would think we would be carrying vases.
I'm hoping it will be worth all the effort in the end.
