As expected the Russell Brand episode of Buzzcocks wasn't shown this week and from what I've heard may not be shown at all which is more than a shame. However they did show the following episode with Gavin and Stacey's James Corden as the guest captain and he managed to do pretty good even though the other guests were rather weak.
With Germaine Greer being one of them they thought it would be appropriate to include an INXS song in the Intros Round, that being "Suicide Blonde" which had been done on the show before. This was when they had Australian comedian Adam Hills as a guest and he had to identify it through Aqualung's Matt Hales doing a load of monkey noises.
I didn't realise that one of the other guests Gabriella Climi was also Australian but overall it wasn't too bad a show mainly because of James Corden being involved.
He's definitely come a long way since appearing in Shane Meadows' "Twenty Four Seven" over 10 years ago and apparently he's lined up to host the 2009 Brit Awards with co-star Matthew Horne.
I plan to head down to Area tonight for the Halloween party as organised by Smoke Radio which looks set to be similar to that of the school disco from last month. Hopefully they'll be a few good tunes played and I may use the night as an excuse to have quite a lot of drinks.
It should be quite a night.
