It's been another rather lazy Sunday with only a visit to Sainsbury's being the amount of walking I have done. Other than that I've spent the day listening to Robbie Vincent's show on Jazz FM which included a tune from a band called Special Efx who I don't know too much about, but are from a record label that produced plenty of great material in the late 80s early 90s, GRP.
I'll definitely have a look into more of their material although with lots happening this semester I barely find time to listen to anything new, or new to me anyway.
On the plus side it means that I'll have a lot to keep me occupied after Christmas so that the dissertation isn't too much of a struggle.
As well as that there's been the tonight SCD dance off which featured a performance from the musical "Jersey Boys" based on Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I wouldn't mind going to see that although I would have liked to have heard one of the bands earlier songs being performed on the show as opposed to "Oh What A Night".
And with everyone referring to me as the "Simon Cowell of Smoke Radio" I reckon
Craig Revel Horwood would be a better comparison who barely has a good word for anyone and is likely to give out the lowest score out of those on the Strictly judging panel.
It's an early start tomorrow as I need to buy some envelopes and stamps so I can send Mum her money in the post and the rest of the day will be spent preparing for our second show for G Radio. I've been working on some more production stuff which isn't too special although Chris our editor wants me to create a special G Radio branded introduction for The Saturday's current single "Up" which is what we plan to start the show off with.
I'm not sure if "Up" really is the appropriate word for the band but then again that word was the same name for Right Said Fred's debut album.
