Tonight was rather chaotic although that was to be expected, starting off by going to the Moon On The Hill in Harrow where I met up with Jake and Oli P who were having a few drinks. About half an hour later we made our way to the Junction where quite a lot of the second and third year radio students were welcoming the new arrivals and I got branded as "The Grandad" having been there the longest out of everyone.
I did get a bit tipsy whilst I was there and after about two hours we headed up to "The New Moon" in Kenton where Lottie and Alice were compering the pub quiz in which I ended up in a team consisting entirely of Freshers who had seen a fire safety video earlier on which inspired the title of this post.
One of the rounds was made up of answers that had the word "Tom" inside them with one of the examples being "Which band reached number one with a cover of the Bangles 'Eternal Flame'" to which the answer was "ATOMic Kitten".
We didn't actually give our sheet of answers to be marked but I think we came pretty high amongst those that entered.
I left at around half 10 with Lottie, Alice and Sophie although Sophie had to rush back to the pub as she had left her wallet behind.
I got back safely however and although this time is pretty early I feel really knackered.
Hopefully I see everyone again tomorrow as there's quite a lot of preparation to be done for next week.
