The Wireless-less House

A full list of the stations that Global plan to rebrand have been published on Media Guardian and it's good to see that certain stations such as BRMB and Beacon Radio in the West Midlands will be sold off. This is because of them being in an area where Heart already broadcasts on 100.7 FM which was the first station to be launched under that brand back in 1994.

It's fair to say that the 00s haven't been the best decade for commercial radio where it's slowly been decreasing in quality and excitement that was evident in the previous decade from stations such as SGR, Essex FM, and even Invicta before they were brought by Capital.

On a rather different note, my Aunt Alison came over after dropping Laura off who is about to start her second year at University in Canterbury, and she spoke to us about what we could be doing at Christmas when we go over to stay at that house in South Creake in Norfolk.
One of the things I suggested was to visit Thursford where they have a lot of steam engines and old fairground rides. It would definitely make it more interesting as nothing really happens when we go over and the North Norfolk coast is nowhere near as enjoyable in the winter.

Especially when it's really windy.
