Mash Ups and Muppets

Everyone's in a reflective mood at this time of the year, especially when it comes to music.

And 2009 hasn't been a bad year for it at that.

Chris is planning to do a review of the year show for 91.8 Hayes FM over the festive period and has asked me to put together a few sweepers containing extracts or whathaveyou of certain tunes.

Here's one I've just done and the first "Beatmix" as such that I've produced.

I'm dreadfully late in coming to the fore.

If it was done for an actual station then it would make more sense with a tagged beginning and outro for solidity but I reckon that's not too bad for a first go.

I need to start doing more as such for Blam Jam, although with the Top 20 tunes of the decade approaching, I'm sure that's more than a good excuse.

No one else is about so I'm sorting out my own cooking.

I'm just a bit peeved that the remainder of the chilli I made last night has been thrown out, but as Mum and Dad are away this weekend, I won't make too much of an effort.

Just a simple concoction of pork with basmati rice.

It's practically impossible for me to cook anything without either rice or pasta as has been long established which I'm guessing would make it even more complicated if I was to move in with others.

Then again I'm open to expand.

I once made a mean river cobbler in halls.

Moving onwards, and with the battle for 2009 Xmas Number 1 hotting up,
it appears the Muppets are releasing that "mezzin" cover of
"Bohemian Rhapsody"
as a single.

That means will have two factions of Muppets battling for the top spot as should she win the contest, Stacey Solomon does bear an exact resemblance to female Muppet Janice.

She's not the only one mind, as last year's winner Alexandra Burke bears a shocking resemblance to the master of ceremonies in this photo
as taken last week by Matt Garforth.

I reckon I'm the exact double of either Statler or Waldorf.

Then again many others would think the same.
