What an anti-climax.
I'm so glad that my radio show has gone out on Sunday evenings
over the last two years as it means I only have to endure half of
The X Factor Final each year.
Yet why do I even punish myself in the first place?
I'll never work that one out for certain.
You know it comes to a point where Coldplay's performance outshone
both the "winner's singles" even if Chris Martin did look sheepish
when Dermot O'Leary asked him if he watched the show.
Hopefully the key-changed "Cannonball" won't be representative
of what Little Mix have to offer when they finally get round to
releasing their own material, and I'm sure they'll be the first
to break the curse of the winner doing worse in the long run than
the runners up.
More importantly, tonight was also my final Blam Jam show of 2011
and I was enthusiastic, without going over the top I hope.
I'll have to grab it off the log tomorrow morning to hear for myself.
Tune wise it wasn't too bad, with one such offering being another one
from Scott Bradlee, this time given "Tik Tok" the Einstein treatment.
That would be my ideal Christmas number one.
