I seem to be very lucky with getting out library books recently as I've always managed to get the last avaible copy that's on shelf. This turned out to be the case again after getting another book to help me with my first Media Technology essay which I've managed to get as far as writing down the introduction, and even that was tricky enough. I may do the same with my Media Events essay tomorrow just to make me feel more relaxed that nothing hasn't been left out completely.
I spent the best part of today helping Nina to log the music and add barcodes for our assessed Retro Room show for Friday where we managed to add a few tracks including Tainted Love by Soft Cell, Invisible Touch by Genesis and Part-Time Lover by Stevie Wonder which Nina was very enthusiastic to put on!
Also added were various tracks by Queen, Phil Collins and even Level 42!
We managed to get feedback from Matthew who had listened to the pilot in record time after I'd uploaded it to him. Whilst I need to avoid giving specific details on release dates, the main concern we have is the scheduling of music and why we weren't taught on how to alter the rules on Selector to make sure that a fair quota of male and female artists get played for example.
I know that it's never going to be possible to learn everything technical on this course.
