Dead Communication

No that's nothing to do with me as a person, but the fact that my mobile phone still isn't switching on after my accident earlier today. I'll sleep on it tonight but if it isn't working tomorrow then I will start worrying.

Helping to contribute to the run up for the UWSU elections in March, I came up with this promo voiced by Jon Lamb which for me has to be one of the worst promos I've put together. However I haven't played it to Ricky yet so hopefully he'll be slightly more optimistic than me but I guess it gives a relaxed attitude rather than sounding too "in your face". For once I'm quite interested to see who will be running for the posistions on offer, not least the VP Communications and Campaigns which involves supplying the bob for Smoke Radio. However I know that current occupant Rayhan will find something to be involved in after giving the postion over this summer.

Over in radio an unexplained absence meant that Tudor did a 2 hour rock show where we had such delights from Cream to Ofra Haza. Just before going on air we had a short chat about the "Time" short as posted here a couple of days ago and how the lecture assessing it criticised it as it looked as if they were just doing it for the sake of mucking about. Although this week it's going under the eyes of Geoffrey Davies one of the most complementary people on the Media Course at this University bar none.
Seriously if Alan Sugar decides to quit "The Apprentice" then Geoffrey would be the perfect replacement.

For now though I'll spend the rest of tonight on WedigTV.com and getting some shut eye before heading to Central to see if I can find the DVD of Ghostwatch for my Media Events essay.
