Another Monday night at Pound a Pint where nowadays it's pretty sparse at around 10 and it's not till after 11 when things really get going. It was DJ-less when I arrived although Chris and Phil filled that empty hole not long after their arrival. Their stint on the decks didn't last long however as two fellas who looked around 13 years old took control of DJing and they couldn't mix a pack of cards. There were records finshing with dead air and very poor crossfades which didn't go down too well with the attendees so the dynamic duo took control for another hour or so. The guy that took over before closing time wasn't as bad as he'd brought a few vinyl pieces with him consiting of hard house remixes of "Tainted Love" and "The Power" by Snap! amongst other floorfillers.
Also there were the Kilburn lot consisting of Jo, Joey, Steff and Becky and I had to endure a conversation with Joey and Tom saying how the first year was so much better than how things are now and how they barely know anyone when visiting the bar. That saddened me slightly although living in halls has it's perks as I've got people to lean on to in the first year when those in my own year either get big headed or turn into miserable so and sos. I'm still struggling on long term bonds with people as I'd never be able to find someone who I can click well with and want to move in with if I was to move into a proper house.
Overall, University for me is just something to put a nervous breakdown on hold for three years.
