Distasteful Darts

With the vintage episodes of Bullseye on Ftn continuing to lighten things up for me in halls, I was very pleased to find this rather naughty edition from the 1983 Central Television Christmas tape containing many predictable but witty innuendos. This of course was from around the time where anyone would make jokes about Channel 4's leanage towards rather suggestive programmes.

One of tonight's editions of the Krypton Factor would be pretty interesting for any gameshow enthusiast as it featured the appearance of a certain Trevor Montague as one of the contestants. Better known to others as the man who appeared twice on Channel 4's Fifteen to One and had to return his prize vase after being sued by the shows producers. This was the result of an eagle eye viewer who spotted him appearing under the name of "Steve Romana" after being eliminated on a previous edition under his real name. The rules apparently stated that losing contestants could not re-enter.

Funnily enough Montague's appearance on television's toughest quiz wasn't exactly triumphant having been pipped at the post in a tie break at the final General Knowledge round.
I seem to remember a Carling Black Label advert taking the mickey out of that particular round off the Krypton Factor where one of the contestants would buzz in continuously with the correct answer after the host had uttered just one word of the question.
Cut to Steve Frost and Mark Arden watching:
Steve: "'Ere, I bet he drinks.."
BEEP
Contestant: "Carling Black Label"
