I thought my mobile phone was on the way up until I switched it on and it asked me to re-insert my SIM card. I did just that and now it's not bothering to either switch on or power up. I'll give it another day hoping it will recover although if it fucks up again then I'm getting heading into Harrow to find the rock bottom replacement if in stock.
I managed to find out a bit more about our studio situation last Wednesday evening as those engineers who managed to screw everything up turned out to be portable appliance testers who are contracted by the University to come in on occasional evenings to check the portable electrical equipment in practical media departments. However the on site techncians weren't informed about this beforehand.
To make things worse the P.A.T. testers messed everything up with the stack for switching studios over, and also leaving a plug in a place that could cause a fire hazard.
For now though things are looking relaxed, the show's nearly sorted and I'll be heading over to what was formerly known as Bar Footsie although I very much doubt they'll have the flat screen TVs back in order to show the bargains. I hope there's some sort of special offer on as I don't want to end up drinking only orange Fantas tonight.
