It's been yet another one of those days, unproductive but using every excuse to make infamous observations.
There's also been a lot of other stuff going in the radio rooms that I won't mention on this site just in case anyone else is reading, but what I can say is that Monday the 8th of December at the Undercroft is going to be amazing.
They've extended closing time until 1am and Phil H will be going ahead with the planning of the Xmas party where I hope to be DJing amongst plenty of other talented guys such as Sammy C and Fiz, Stevie McIntosh, and possibly a few new potential DJs in the making showing what they can do.
Even better is that from this Monday coming, VKs will be £1 per bottle which comes in perfectly in what others may see as rather tight times.
I spent part of the evening sitting in with the guys from "The Apple Bites Back" in which tonight's show was hilarious in places and at times controversial with a few accidental utterances of four letter words.
I was asked to take part in the "nitty gritty" feature where Jake normally rants about a particular issue, but in this case they asked me to come on and I decided to air my views on broadcasters handling of swearing on television after 9 o'clock with new guidelines introduced at the BBC this week.
After the show, myself, Jake and Rich went to the Undercroft where we were later joined by Phil Harris, Annabel and a few of her mates, and Barry.
I was given a cutting by either Jake or Rich from Wednesday's London Lite about a Muslim who recieved a racist joke after texting the joke directory on 118 118.
I know you shouldn't laugh but as they had actually printed transcripts of the jokes sent, I was in stitches.
It does make you think however, as to how such an established company can sink as low as this.
Aside that, Phil's done pretty well in terms of promotion by getting stickers printed advertising the Xmas events. Later on Stewart arrived as well as the Irish lads Jay and Colin who were planning to go with Phil and Annabel to Koko where they've got themselves onto the guest list due to having the right contacts.
Overall it looks as if we can end the semester in style and put the fun back into University without trying too hard to "look cool".
