Ever Soulful Sundays

Another Sunday morning was spent listening to Robbie Vincent as usual and it appears the man can do no wrong in choosing the tunes for his show each week.
Highlights on today's show included Azymuth and bassist Alex Maleheiros's daughter Sabrina with one of her own songs, and there was a brilliant tune by Brenda Russell from her album "Paris Rain" released back in 2000 on the Hidden Beach label, also home to Jill Scott.

One of the tracks in this week's "Sunday Long One" was George Benson's version of "Breezin'" but I was disapointed that the string intro was cut off and it just went straight into the main song.
That kind of deviates from the point in it being called "The Sunday Long One" but it was a very good show overall.

On a similar note Stephen H has set up a station on Live 365 called Soul Central which is in it's early stages but contains some superb tunes from the likes of Jazztronik, Jamiroquai and the Sunburst Band to name a few.
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it develop over the next few months.
