Spending the night at the Undercroft resulted in me being unable to go to Sainsbury's
as planned although Stoobie decided to risk attempting to go there 10 minutes before it shut down.
Despite not being able to get the crucial parts needed for a delicious chilli with rice,
I've used the rest of the chicken I've got and boiled some rice to go with that.
I almost missed the majority of tonight's "Celebrity" where as I got in both Brian and Esther were "taking part" in the treasure chest trial where they were meant to peel potatoes in order to find the key but with Esther Rantzen on board, they just spent the time looking for unusually shaped spuds before foolishly giving up.
Carly made her long awaited exit tonight and it looked as if she really wanted to leave, although despite a lack of personality she is easy on the eye and goes out with Joe Cole so I can't hold too much against her.
I followed this by watching the first in the new series of "Live At The Apollo" where Michael McIntyre was this weeks compere and he made a few rather amusing gags such as the meaning behind the Kings Of Leon's "Sex On Fire" which I've never understood myself.
He also used the opportunity to make a few gags at the famous people in the audience including Jon Culshaw who's probably made more appearances on the show than any of the actual stand ups. Michael used his appearance as an excuse to try out his own impressions included a superb take off of Jools Holland and a slightly over the top
Alan "Deadly" Dedicoat.
On that same subject "Apollo" happens to be another in the long list of programmes with
Peter Dixon as the voiceover who must be getting a fair share of money for his booming delivery.
I still think that his voice isn't really right for the X Factor however.
I also managed to spot other C-listers such as Jim Rosenthal, Gaby Roslin, Hazel Irvine, and soon to be ex-Eastender Bobby Davro being the one who's always observant for famous faces regardless of their status.
One of the other comedians on stage this week was Rich Hall who did a few jokes about terrorism including one asking why Osama Bin Laden still uses videotapes instead of DVDs for his messages. A joke done in song and in a slightly funnier manner by Frank Skinner at this year's Secret Policeman's Ball last month.
I may spend this weekend finally getting round to reading that book charting (to use an operative word) the history of Top Of The Pops which I borrowed from the library last week, and possibly a visit to Soul Brother in Putney to buy some much needed records that I've been meaning to buy for a while, including Incognito's latest remix album
"More Tales Remixed".
Definitely one to play on the Christmas special.
