Scoop Distorter

RP1 is currently rammed with MAJI students so most of us have come into the rather warm SADiE room and have spent time watching Youtube videos and so on. Stewart's currently in there planning for his movie soundtrack show where this week he's featuring the Back To The Future trilogy which I still haven't seen although it is an aim. Luckily Stewart's got them on his computer at his place so I may give them a viewing when I get some spare time.

Today's also been the course comittee meeting where the reps for each year have put their concerns to all the senior staff in the Media Department including Maria Way and Geoffrey Davies.
Rather controversially Geoffrey Davies said that Scoop constantly failing was not an issue which I am a bit peeved about.
I'd honestly like to Geoffrey come into the studio and work with it himself and maybe that would change his opinion.

I know that our year won't have to use it again but it really isn't fair on those who are about to do the magazine module and will be taking the Advanced Radio module next year as people make effort into going on location and it's not fair they should be let down by equipment that's very unreliable.
I reckon I've lost count of the times I have referred to that device as a "piece of shit".

I'm hoping they'll e-mail the minutes of the meeting to the rest of us so I can find more things to get uptight about, as it is my final year and some things really have to be said.

As for the rest of today I need to get some stuff from Sainsbury's as there's nothing in my fridge to do cooking with tonight, and get the CDs burnt for my soul show where I plan to feature Jamiroquai as this weeks "Positive Pairing".
It will be some of their earlier material obviously.

I'm rather gutted tonight as over at Regent's, David Gauntlett is peforming (being the operative word) his inaugaral lecture on The Internet which I would have liked to have gone to although it finishes at 8pm when my show starts.
I don't like the idea pre-recording my show however even if I do get to record it in a bigger studio.

Here's hoping the right buttons get pushed this week.
