The Comedic Generation Gap

The final Act Your Age of the current series really was quite
a madhouse by the sounds of things, but that's what happens
when you have a strong guest line up, and a team including
a double act.

In this case Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball, who
according to host Simon Mayo, Bobby was lucky Tommy
was around as it would have resulted in him having to form an act
with Howard Cock.

However it was the contributions of recent dance champion Rufus Hound
that were really enjoyable where in the first round he suggested that
if anything from the past had to be brought back it was Saturday morning
children's television.

And the fact that Rufus was off of the generation who grew up with Phillip
and Sarah, and Thundercats which got quite a cheer from the audience.

On that subject one member of said audience happened to be Holly
who I'm seeing on Saturday and her and Pippa ST's housewarming
who really enjoyed seeing the chaos take place.

I'm a tiny bit jealous of Holly, not to the point of being unable to sleep
over such a thing, but because in the final buzzer round, the noise that
they make sounds more like the ones made with battery circuits
in a science class in secondary school.

If I had been in the audience I probably would have burst into cackles
on my own which may have confused everyone and been would
have lead to a record number of re-takes.

However I'm still in that mood, and for the next hour or so I plan to
turn myself into one of the Cadbury's Smash martians by watching
part 4 of BBC 2's "The Virtual Revolution" on iPlayer.

Basically it's a documentary looking into social networking
for those who've never used it before.

Although just about everyone else would find it extremely patronising.

Well everyone else I know at least.
