Just Another Brit Awards Night Then...

The Brit Awards were a bit of a non story.

Nothing majorly outstanding performance wise, with the possible exception
of Lady GaGa, and Alicia and Jay Z and a few colourful moments during
the presentation itself.

The recipients weren't anything to cheer about really, with the
exception of Florence and The Machine for the
superb "Lungs" album.

I'll definitely be playing another offering from on the radio
show this week, one of the remixes actually that being
the "XX" remix of "You Got The Love".

Peter Kay was on his arse gag wise, proving the reason why he hasn't
done a stand up act for 8 years, although if Smoke Radio had got
Peter to host our 2009 awards, I would have made sure
my acceptance speech was a lot shorter with reduced swearing.

If you saw the show you'll be able to work that one out in
an instant.

Fair play to Peter for saying what we were all thinking
of Liam Gallagher.

Proper comedy on the other hand was provided by the last "proper"
edition of Newswipe as next week's series finale is a compilation.

This week it ripped the piss out of live O/Bs where buggerall
actually happens, and the whole fuss over of the John Terry affair.

It turns out that Brooker is also a fan of the phenomemon surrounding
"The Room as seen in this video of the UK premiere last July.

I am really looking forward to attending the screening a week on Saturday
where I don't have to worry about booking tickets.

Chris originally wanted to take Aoife with him but she's double booked,
but I reckon this will be a proper lads night when it comes to the sort
of things that take place.

And Chris, should you be reading this, you'd best start refreshing your
mind on the theme to "Full House".

Well, the bit of the song that sounds like Janet Jackson's "Together Again"

Good Night.
