Double Image

The station meeting at CSR went pretty well with no major issues
to be dealing with.

The big one really was the General Election approaching and that we're not
allowed to refer to it on air unless we give fair amount of airtime referring
to all political parties.

It's more an issue that relies to speech shows and I'm more than
aware that no radio station and certainly not CSR would be able to
hire a lawyer to cover us in the same way as a TV show such as
Have I Got News For You.

They also explained about another 24 hour long show around May time
in order to raise money for charity which I may look into if I'm doing
sod else around then.

Straight after the meeting a few of the members and committee
people went to the Mungos bar and I thought it would be a good
idea to go with them and sip a few VKs while at it.

It was good to speak to Alex who's in charge of programming and
feels a lot better about moving Blam Jam to an earlier timeslot
which I'm starting to get the impression was the right way to go.

There was also the lovely Jo who's currently in charge of music
and production who co-presents a daytime show with Rupert Bhatia
and Danny, the fella who looks after Specialist Speech.

All comittee members will be standing down within the next few months
and looking for new potential members to take over but the good news
is that I'll be staying away from the running.

I'm hoping that by the time they're elected I'll be back in London but
then again, it's wishful thinking as always.

I headed home around 9pm and have spent the last hour watching
8 Out Of 10 Cats where there was many a joke about John Terry.

I can still laugh of course, although I'm slowly becoming doubtful
about our chances in South Africa after the group stages.

Doppelganger Week on Facebook is still at it's height with more and more people changing their photos.

Chris however still hasn't changed his to Ashton Kutcher,
and Sami hasn't changed her's to Daisy from Spaced.

It's a direct double by a long shot!

The irony was that the pub we went to before the 2009 Smoke Awards
along with both the Phils, Stewart, Tudor and Dave Sharp was used
in Spaced and I've thought that Dave shares mannerisms with Simon Pegg.

Then again I can imagine the stick he's been getting since Christmas
with his shocking resemblance to John Simm that had me trying
my very best not to cackle in a cheeky manner during the
Doctor Who Christmas Special.

Good Night.
