This isn't very good for my body clock at all, but with too many concerns
preventing me from getting to sleep, I've resorted to staying up as long
as possible until I do start to get heavy eyelids.
As I type I'm listening to Rotary Connection's 1968 covers album
simply titled "Songs" and featuring the voice of Minnie Ripperton
as one of the vocalists.
If you're into the 5th Dimension or any similar full on
orchestral soul acts from the same time period it's definitely
worth listening to.
Also I've managed to find a video from Brazil on Youtube which looks
incredibly familiar.
Yes, Charlie Brooker's "How To Report The News" has gone global
and the sketch has been adapted as part of a series of online videos
in Brazil.
Would it be an overstatement to suggest the original sketch could
be one of the funniest pieces of television in the current decade?
Definitely this year by quite a long way.
