Straight after the show I got the High Speed train to St Pancras and oh my,
it was pretty speedy arriving at 9:25pm after leaving an hour earlier.
After enjoying a slice of mushroom pizza in Leicester Square I made my way into the Global building and saw Chris playing out Jason Donovan's
pre-recorded links across the Heart Network.
I also got to meet Simon Beale in the flesh from Heartbreakers who 15 years
ago or thereabouts I used to wake up to when he co-presented
the Morning Zoo on Invicta FM along with Neil Francis as part of the duo
"Neily and Bealey".
A like minded radio and jingle anorak if there ever was one and a nice
fella too.
Before leaving myself and Chris went into the Classic FM studios
where Dan P was overseeing the station's pre-recorded output for
Sunday evening and although things have been tough job wise
he's lucky to be in the position that he's in.
Whereas it turns out that a few of his fellow graduates are still searching
desperately which makes me feel a bit better about not being on my own.
I guess it's about grabbing the eyes of those in charge.
We arrived in Ealing at just before 11pm where we met up with
Tudor and practically got rather boozed in front of the box.
This year's Superbowl coverage was slightly different from last year
as Jake Humphrey and his two pundits were in a London based studio
and dressed more casually, but there were still the regular cutbacks
to the studio everytime the American coverage went to ads.
The halftime show was a bit anti-climatic as The Who just seemed
to speed by.
Probably a case of one song too many in 7 minutes or
however long it was.
However in terms of the game itself, everyone was behind the
Saints and we got a bit of a bollocking from the upstairs flat
when we all started cheering.
It didn't ruin things although I was actually very tired by this point
and moaning about the train journey back to Canterbury
the following morning like I always fucking do.
Overall it was worth making the journey over and doing
something different for a change.
My aim for tonight is to get my Charlton Athletic data entry job application
done, and also I need to sort the cooking out as I agreed to do so.
Probably yet another chicken stew this time with slightly expensive
rigatoni pasta.
And as always it's the usual Monday E4 night in to top it all off.
It's going to be mezzin'.
