Harrow's Burning

At around 10:30pm last night a fire broke out just opposite the Northwick Park Underground station near my flat. I noticed quite a few people crowded round as I was leaving to go to the Undercroft and when the firefighters finally arrived quite a few of us started mucking about having photos taken outside the engine.

We then headed over to the Undercroft for a few drinks although I only had one bottle as the only VKs that were being served were either tropical or orange flavoured.
Quite a few of the first year radio students there were going on about who they may get to interview at the Radio Academy event for Radio 1's One Big Weekend in Preston.
I hope they get a few words with Mark Ronson who has done some very imaginative covers with his latest album.

In the same vein the NME had an advertisement for The Easy Star All-Stars performing tracks from the "Radiodread" album at a live set at the Jazz Cafe later in the summer and I'm very tempted to play one of them on my "Sun Sea And Soul Show" in a few weeks.

Myself, Chris, Phil and Stoobie then decided to head back for a kickabout in the dark outside the Harrow gym. This was enjoyable until Stewart kicked the ball into a large bush and we couldn't get it out so we decided to call it a night.

I'm now up in the radio studios although I'm quite weary that the post-grads may be coming in meaning that I may have to re-locate. As long as it's not the Harrow library I'm happy although I would like my laptop to be sorted out soon.
