Never Too Far From A Task

Just as I was starting to relax a bit more by mid afternoon I was asked by Goodlass and Marshall to take part in another outside broadcast for their show which would involve me going around campus and the halls of residence trying to blag free birthday presents.

This involved me going to places such as the SU Shop, the Undergrad Office even the library accompanied by Stoobie looking after the technical side of things. I ended up items such as an Alpen bar, a ruler with the number 22 highlighted, a card wallet from one of the security guards and some penis shaped pasta from Charlotte in Flat 68.
It's actually good fun presenting outside broadcasts and something interesting to try out this week which I'm sure well end up being part of what we submit for this years SRAs.

Joey turned up to present his final Music Show and the good news is that he's back to give Chris Jones a hand later in the week. It's so nice to see a lot of people involved and even Sam from the first year is helping out by looking after the running of things for the evening programmes despite being unable to present in the daytime due to her new job. She's got a penchant for everything in RP1 to be tidy as possible and doesn't really like the sight of the many bottles of water that lurk around the room.

As an aside, one thing that has spread to mind is that Chris Tarrant is due to present this weeks HIGNFY. If this goes ahead he may end up in a similar situation to the one that eventually saw Angus Deayton being ousted as host as a result of being a subject of the headlines they were mocking.
That's one vital time to phone a friend.
