Out 4 Summer and Nearly Out Of Breath

Whilst the goings on at S(4)S have been really good fun I am starting to realise that a few people could and have started getting really tired and exhausted and I'm hoping things will, shall I say, become more relaxed and less demanding but at the same time continue to produce the top quality radio that has taken place in the last few days. I really don't want people to feel that they are being overworked.

Todays festivities involved an outside broadcast where Kelly ended up getting in cardboard box and hiding within the courtyard outside M-Block for a radio equivalent of Hide and Seek. Not as easy as it seems, especially when you have other individuals who are in on it pissing about and making the item not as good as it could. Also we managed to find out about Ross T's Wikipedia article and whether he does bare a resemblance to Russell Grant as stated.

One of the many positive things that has come out this week is how people who have jobs during the day still want to lend a hand with things within the evening. These included Steve reading the news and Sam getting a well deserved chance to present this week by helping me out on the Sun Sea And Soul show. Funnily enough I managed to find out that her first radio show on Reading's Blast 1386 was actually called "Sun, Sea And Sam". Music included Louie Vega, George Benson and even Chris Rea with the blissful "On The Beach" as well as a rundown of the top 5 summer slush puppies with "Summer Of Love" by Lonyo, and DJ Pied Piper.

Sam mentioned that those particular tracks made her feel old which probably means we can start looking back at the period around 2000-2001 in a nostalgic manner!

Aside this exhuastive work I've managed to sort out a return delivery date for my laptop which will be this coming Monday so Sunday will see another short visit back to Canterbury in order to collect it early the next day. With exams in full flow the libraries are pretty packed even at this time of night so I'm looking forward to a return to form. However tomorrow will be just as hectic with the Rimini reunited tour at the Undercroft followed by the foam party. I guess now is the perfect time to crash out.
