A Manic Monday Awaits

This afternoon was busy as always, sending stuff out to people left right and centre in preparation for Monday. As a matter of fact Monday looks set to be really busy as Dan P has walked out of the schedule at the last minute leaving co-presenter Chris Jones to grab the reigns. He'll be presenting with a different presenter from the station each day, and I've been asked to go first. I'll try and come up with a few ideas and overall it should be a good laugh.
It will be a good send off from Uni for Chris to have his own show as he's done quite a bit for the station over the last two years including the calendar which graces many a halls bedroom.

On returning to the flat I saw a familiar face reading the news on London Tonight; the desirable Jasmine Lowson formerly of L!VE TV with the News Bunny, and Channel 4's Big Breakfast. I've also noticed another newsreader from the anarchic early morning show reading the headlines for London; Phil Gayle who ironically enough is reading the bulletins during GMTV.

Tonight's Gameshow Marathon was for me the weakest of the series as they re-created Mr And Mrs. One of Border Television's rare contributions to the ITV network apart from the odd episode of Highway.
This show was very much before my time and for that I'm grateful, although it was more or less resurrected by Noel Edmonds doing the same thing with children answering questions about their parents on the House Party to more amusing results.
I was also disapointed that Vernon Kay didn't finish off the show in the traditional manner with the catchphrase "Be Nice To Each Other" although it did include the theme tune with those lyrics as co-written by another famous Pinner resident, Tony Hatch.
Thankfully next week should be more entertaining as they'll be featuring Bullseye and no doubt they'll bring back Tony Green to referee.

Right now I'm in the library pondering on whether to finish last night's chilli with my mouth still feeling painful. I may buy some Strepsils first thing tomorrow before going anywhere near M-Block.
